Delicious Coffee Ice Cream made at home using filter coffee powder:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup filter coffee powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and filter coffee powder.
- Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar and coffee powder have dissolved and the mixture is heated through. Be careful not to let it boil.
- Remove the pan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then strain it through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible.
- Cover the mixture and refrigerate until chilled.
- Once chilled, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Transfer the churned ice cream to a container and freeze until firm, at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Serve and enjoy your homemade coffee ice cream!
Note: The strength of the coffee flavor will depend on the type and amount of coffee powder you use. You can adjust the amount of coffee powder to your taste. Also, it’s important to use filter coffee powder instead of instant coffee powder for this recipe, as the flavor and texture will be different.
